Baldur’s Gate 3 has just received another massive update and this time it’s introduced Barbarians.
The seventh major update is known as Absolute Frenzy and in addition, Larian Studios have introduced Improvised Weapons, new sub-classes and an UI overhaul.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is slowly building towards a full release, moving outside of Early Access – currently scheduled for 2023 – and in so doing has now implemented a Fog of War mechanic, tweaks to detection, and even some upgraded cinematics.
The Barbarian class seems like an absolute beast, whether you go with Wildheart and use a Bestial Heart to inspire and protect, then receiving new combat abilities and facial piercings based on choice.
You can also go Berserker and get access to abilities like Frenzied Strike and Enraged Throw, which sound very Conan if we do say so ourselves.
Improvised Weapons also mean you can throw a projectile that ‘weighs up to three times your strength ability score’ meaning, yes, you can throw enemies and many other things!
Patch 7 is available now as a free content update for Baldur’s Gate 3.
