EA may have given us our first indication of when to expect next-gen systems.
In an announcement for Xbox One and Playstation 4 specifically, EA have indicated that ‘the next-generation of Battlefield releases November 1st’.
This suggests that next-gen hardware could come as soon as November 1st, if not sooner. There’s also the possibility that both systems could launch at the same time. Holy cow!
There has been no official word on release dates for either of the consoles. However, Battlefield IV has been previously revealed for an October 29th release in NA on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC and now November 1st in the EU.
If you pre-order the game, you’ll receive a Battlefield 4 China Rising Digital Expansion Pack. The PR blurb goes on to say…
In this sprawling expansion, players fight for dominance across the vast and majestic Chinese mainland in four massive multiplayer maps, using all-new vehicles and high-tech military equipment. Separately, players that pre-order the Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe exclusively on Origin™ will receive the base game, bonus in-game digital items, the Battlefield 4 China Rising digital expansion pack and access to the exclusive Battlefield 4 multiplayer beta*.
Battlefield IV multiplayer will be shown off with a live demo at “The Download: EA 2013 Preview” at E3, taking place at 1pm PST on June 10th.
