The people at Doritos shouldn’t really strike you as game designers. I mean, they’re pretty damn good at making a Chilli Heatwave crisp, but when it comes to coding the next Mass Effect, well, lets just say expectations aren’t high.
While we can’t attribute much of the success of Crash Course to our humble crisp-making geniuses, they did at least help the game get published and become somewhat of a cult hit on XBLA.
Now, over two years after its initial release, the game is getting some new, premium DLC.
For those who haven’t played the game (you should, it’s free!), Crash Course is effectively a side-scrolling Wipeout or Takeshi’s Castle, whereby players must dodge a series of obstacles to try to reach the finish line in the fastest time.
City Lights adds ten new courses to the game, spanning Las Vegas to London. City Lights also offers courses only previously available in Japan.
To cap it off, there are even new achievements to unlock.
While some might bemoan paying money for DLC when the game is free, at only 160MS Points, this is a pretty sweet deal and adds quite a lot of playtime to an already fun-packed game.
For more in-depth coverage, a full review of City Lights will appear here in the next few days.
