Aloy’s story will continue next year with a brand new, fully fledged DLC for Horizon Forbidden West.

Announced during The Game Awards, Burning Shores was given a fully-featured trailer and even a release date of April 19.

Perhaps the biggest story of all is that this is being developed solely for PlayStation 5 whereas the original Forbidden West release was cross-generational.

In Burning Shores, Aloy will visit Los Angeles, which is now ruinous and a ‘treacherous volcanic archipelago’. The story follows on from the conclusion of Forbidden West and features new characters and adventures.

Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores arrives exclusively on PlayStation 5 on April 19, 2023.
