In a live panel with Major Nelson, Microsoft executives have confirmed that Next-Gen Kinect will support ‘six skeletons’ as opposed to two and can be used in smaller rooms.

The voice functionality of Kinect will have improved usage in the home menu and will also allow people to better multi-task through with music, TV and games.
It has also been confirmed that next-gen Kinect HAS to be plugged into Xbox One for the system to be used.
