That’s right folks after the success of the likes of Tomb Raider and The Last of Us definitive editions on PS4 and Xbox One – not to mention the incoming GTA V – Square Enix have decided to give 2012 open world action-adventure-em-up Sleeping Dogs a revamped next-gen version.
Packed from the start with the DLC from the original release, including all of the funky outfits, weapons and missions including the story-extending Year of the Snake and the horror-themed Nightmare in North Point.
Senior Producer Dan Sochan definitely thinks it’s worth the investment:
We’re giving old and new fans a lot reasons to pick up the game, as we’ve gone beyond just increasing resolution and running at 1080p. We listened to the fans: we tuned gameplay, we added to the ambience of Hong Kong, increased audio fidelity and pushed the visuals further than we could on the previous generation of consoles.
