Hard to believe This War of Mine is 10 Years Old now but for today there is still some reason to celebrate.
Despite the name, Forget Celebrations, a new DLC will release for This War of Mine in the future, centered around our broken world and very much rooted in charity.
This playable content will see players visit war-torn Pogoren once more, following the story of Katia, a war correspondent. As the blurb goes… ‘while struggling to write a book on the brutal realities of war, a missile attack devastates her home, forcing her into an even harsher fight for survival and the recovery of her gathered material.’
All proceeds from the purchase of the content will go to charity partners ‘War Child, Amnesty International, Liberty Ukraine Foundation and Indie Games Poland’.
The DLC is being released at a time where innocent lives are still being lost and there are new conflicts erupting in face of increased arms production.
This War of Mine has already had exhibitions at the Imperial War Museum and the Museum of Modern Art. Sales from the game have also generated $850k for the Ukranian Red Cross and raised funds for War Child.
More news on the DLC will follow. This War of Mine is out now across all formats.
