Yet another CS:GO patch live on Steam

Another patch for CS:GO is live, again making changes to the fan favourite Desert Eagle.

CS:GO has been going through a lot of changes lately as Valve aim to make the game as balanced as possible. This surprise patch tries to refine the game so it’s just the players skill that is doing the killing, not the overpowered guns.

As of last patch, the Desert Eagle has been like a handheld sniper, doing upwards of 70 damage to a player in one shot. This patch aims to balance that out a bit so the Desert Eagle isn’t like a  handheld sniper. In addition to this, the patch gives you the option to now spectate your friends when they are in a game with GOTV.

The full patch notes are as follows:

  • Nerfed the Desert Eagle.
  • Added a feature to spectate friends games via GOTV.
  • In ‘Play With Friends,’ if a friend is on an official matchmaking server the WATCH option will appear next to their name

Deathmatch immunity changes:

  • Default immunity was raised to 10s.
  • Moving now cancels immunity.

A whole host of Misc changes were also added, but none of them are of huge concern. If you want to read the full patch notes head over here.
