Sam Lake stopped by at Summer Games Fest to shadow drop the first Alan Wake 2 DLC.

Night Springs is now available on PC, Xbox and PlayStation and features three short episodes of fan favourite characters, each telling a distinct story in the world of Alan Wake.

Each episode is self-contained, and features stories for The Number One Fan, Jesse Faden – sorry, the Sibling – and Sheriff Timothy Breaker.

The content is the first of two planned premium DLCs for the game and is exclusive to the Deluxe Edition of Alan Wake 2. The Lake House, DLC 2, will launch later this year.

A free photo mode is also being added to Alan Wake 2, but it’s being done in a narrative way to tie in with the skills of Alice Wake. As such, you’ll have settings such as f-stop, and focal length. But you can also adjust lighting through the flashlight, a spotlight and a camera flash.

Alan Wake 2 Night Springs is now available across all platforms.
