An Assassin’s Creed game will once again be available at the launch of a next-gen console.
Ubisoft’s tentpole franchise will take us to viking times in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, and there’s plenty of ways to play.
Whether you’re on current-gen or are upgrading to a new console in just a few weeks time, you’ll be able to pick up a copy of the game with one of its many editions and be playing for a long time to come.
Here’s all we know about Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla so far.
Formats
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is releasing on PC, PS4, PS5, the Xbox family of consoles, Stadia, and UPlay from November 10th 2020.
AC: Valhalla will also be eligible for a free Xbox to Series S l X and PS4 to PS5 upgrade.
DLC
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is confirmed to be getting DLC and has its own Season Pass. This will include two post-game story expansions, Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris.
The game will also receive Seasonal Free Content beginning December, including new modes, gear, and upgrades.
AC: Valhalla will also receive a Discovery Tour upgrade in 2021.

If you pre-order Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, you’ll get a bonus mission ‘The Way of the Beserker’
Editions
There will be five different editions of the game – Standard, Gold, Ragnarok, Ultimate and Collectors Editions. All are now available to pre-order.
Standard Edition
This costs £59.99 and will include the base game, along with The Way of the Berserker.
Gold Edition
This costs £84.99 and is available physically and digitally. The Gold Edition comes with a steelbook, as well as the Season Pass, and the Pre Order Bonus.
Ragnarok Edition
This costs $150 and essentially offers the Gold Edition with an Eivor Statuette.
Ultimate Edition
This costs $130 and essentially offers the Gold Edition with the Steelbook, Season Pass and an Ultimate Pack. This includes Berserker Gear, a Berserker Settlement Pack, a Berserker Longship Pack, and a Set of Runes.
Collector’s Edition
Finally, the Collector’s Edition costs $200 and includes an Ultimate Edition of the game, a replica statue of Eivor with her longship, collector’s case, steelbook, a statuette of Eivor with his Raven and Dane Axe, 3 Exclusive lithographs, selected soundtrack, and a numbered certificate of authenticity.
