Wonderbook: Book of Spells is proving to be more than just a ‘swish n flick’ fest for kids. Sony have now announced further collaboration with interactive experience, Pottermore, that will immerse players in new ways.
Pottermore is continuing to grow with the recently released ‘Prisoner of Azkaban’ and is allowing readers to interact with the original stories in exciting ways. Between this and Book of Spells, J.K Rowling has created an abundance of new writing around her globally successful franchise.
With Book of Spells, players will learn how to cast spells with Miranda Goshawk through Wonderbook on Playstation 3. They will also be able to read about the histories of the spells and even learn stronger, more powerful ones that would normally be beyond students of Hogwarts.
Interestingly, players can now link their Pottermore account and integrate it into Book of Spells. This will not only allow players to perform spells with the Pottermore wand that chose them, but they will also be able to act as a member of the house they were sorted into.
Pretty cool.
It sounds like there may be further connectivity between the two experiences, but no details have been released just yet.
