Pathfinder: Kingmaker getting three DLCs, each focused on different content

In an interview with Owlcat Studios, we talked a bit about the future for Pathfinder: Kingmaker and what the DLC might look like.

The team confirmed that there are three DLC packs currently being planned and each one will be devoted to different types of content.

One DLC will add new classes, one will add new areas, and the other they’re just not talking about right now.

We have different approaches and different ideas. Right now we’re planning for the first three DLCs. All of them will be devoted to different types of content. Some will add new classes. Some will add new areas and some will … well, that would be spoiling.

Considering Pathfinder: Kingmaker is shipping with fourteen classes already, there’s a lot to choose from. But apparently various members of the team have their favourites and really want to add them to the game.

We have fourteen classes in the game but there are dozens of them in the Pathfinder universe and each member of the team has a favourable class, archetypes and things like that. So they all want to add them into the game and right now we’re considering more classes, spells and abilities for the game as downloadable content.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker launches on September 25th but in the meantime you can check out our full interview to get juicy little nuggets of info.
