EA and DICE have confirmed the first Battlefield 4 DLC details, giving us release dates and lists of content.
China Rising and Second Assault will both contain four maps, five new weapons, vehicles, and new modes.
First up, Second Assault will release next Friday (22nd November) first on Xbox platforms and will be available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Included in Second Assault is, as follows…
- Four classic Battlefield 3 maps: Operation Metro 2014, Caspian Border 2014, Gulf of Oman 2014 and Operation Firestorm 2014
- Five “re-mastered” weapons
- Dune Buggy (DPV) vehicle
- Ten assignments with new unlocks
- Capture The Flag game mode from Battlefield 3: End Game
Meanwhile, China Rising will release a few weeks later on December 3rd and contains…
- Four brand new maps: Silk Road, Altai Range, Guilin Peaks and Dragon Pass
- Five new weapons
- Two new vehicles, including a bomber and Battlefield 3: End Game’s dirt bike
- Two new gadgets: Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) for the Support class and the Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SUAV) for the Recon class
- Ten assignments with new unlocks
- Air Superiority game mode from Battlefield 3: End Game
Battlefield 4: Premium Members will get the content exclusively for two weeks. China Rising will also be free for those who pre-ordered Battlefield 4 from participating retailers.
Second Assault is a timed Xbox exclusive. There is currently no word on when it will release on other platforms.
