What a difference a year makes. Just last year, Rise was an Xbox One exclusive. Nobody knew if or when it was coming to Playstation 4 or PC. You either had the one platform to play it or you didn’t.
Fast forward 12 months and not only does Playstation now have the game, some would argue it will have the definitive edition. Not just because of the exclusive VR mission and additional content, but because it will also boast full 4K support and higher frame rate.
That’s thanks to the upcoming PS4 Pro update which also enriches the visuals, enhances hardware tessellation, adds anisotropic filtering, additional dynamic foliage and more.
Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration is out now and will be compatible with PS4 Pro on its November 10th launch.
