CD Projekt RED have revealed that they’re building a version of The Witcher 3 for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

This goes hand in hand with the news that Cyberpunk 2077 will also be getting a next-gen upgrade following the launch of the new systems.

And the best part, if you own The Witcher 3 on either PS4 or XO, you won’t have to pay a penny.

The free update will significantly overhaul the game, including visual and technical improvements, such as ray tracing and faster loading times.

Alternatively, if you’ve yet to purchase The Witcher 3, it seems there will be a new physical run of the game with next-gen packaging.

No word on when we can expect the update, but it’s great to see CD Projekt Red continue to support the game and not put a charge on their efforts.
