Recognising the vital importance of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate to the Wii U, Nintendo will be bombarding the title with post-launch support.
In collaboration with Capcom, Nintendo have confirmed that following the 22nd March release for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Wii U, a software update will release in April. This update adds online cross-region functionality, permitting Europeans and Americans to play together online in four player battles.
The update will also add off-TV play to Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, meaning the game will be completely playable on the game pad.
That’s not all. Capcom have promised to support the game post-launch. For several months after release, free of charge downloadable quests will be made available for the game, the first of which will be available at launch.
This is exactly the level of support Nintendo need for a major game on their system.
