Playtonic are cooking up some fun updates for their excellent platformer Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair.
And somehow, they’re going to make the game both easier and more difficult for us at the same time.
The ‘Not so Impossible Lair’ section will add ‘Checkpoints’ that save your best Bee Shield score, and that means you can choose where to start from.
This also gives you opportunities to practice and improve.
However, they’re also adding in an ‘Impossible Lair’ mode where there’s no Bee Shields and No Checkpoints. Yeah, good luck with that!
Additionally, a new 8-Bit Soundtrack has been mixed together for the update due to release on April 14th.
As if that’s not enough, the original Yooka-Laylee will also be getting the 64-Bit Tonic Update on PS4 and Xbox One before the end of April.
And if you own Yooka-Laylee on Switch, you’ll be able to get The Impossible Lair for a massive 50% off. Absolute bargain!
