Our worst fears confirmed, Batman Arkham Origins multiplayer is skipping Wii U. Yet another kick in the teeth for Nintendo’s struggling console.
Warner Bros has gone on record to say that the multiplayer mode in the Wii U version was omitted due to all efforts being placed on platforms with a sizable multiplayer audience.
A WB Spokesperson confirmed to Eurogamer.
“MP will be available for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The team is focusing development efforts on platforms with the largest MP audience.”
Times are hard for Nintendo who announced this morning that the Wii U has sold just 160,000 consoles globally in the three months to the end of June 2013. Wii U has now sold 3.61 million units worldwide.
